Transfeing a domain from one registrar to another is not alwasys simple. It has two requirements.
1) You must be able to recevie email for the administration email address listed in the "whois" information.
2) Domain must be unlocked, which allows other registrars to request the transfer.
3) You will need the authorization code from your current registar at the time of purchase on our system. Sometimes called an EPP code.
Number 1 is usually simple. Just have to make sure you don't have secret registration turned on for the domain. If so, turn it off so your real contact info and valid email will show up in the whois information for the domain name. It can take from a few minutes to hours for the change to make its way through the DNS servers. Be paitient. Once you can look up your domain whois info and see your real contact info with a valid email that you have access to, then you can proceed to handling step 2.
Number 2 is normally just clikcing a button with your current domain registrar which unlocks the domain, allowing other registrars to request a transfer.
Number 3: make note of any tranfer authorization code, it will be requirred and is what authorizes hostinglz to request the change from your current registrar.
Then proceed to purchase a domain transfer on hostinglz.com. It will ask for the autorization code from your current registrar, and will email instructions to the email address found in the whois information. Which is why it has to be correct and not a secret registration. Once the domain transfer is complete you can enable secret registration on hostinglz.com.
